What is a professional pet sitter?
Professional pet sitters are licensed and carry insurance for care,
control, and custody liability as well as insurance to cover theft (or are
bonded). Most of them have received training in pet specific first aid and
CPR and belong to professional organizations that offer and promote
continuing education programs aimed at assisting pet sitters in
improving their services and knowledge.
Why hire a professional pet sitter?
Your pets:
- can stay in the comfort of their own home and with a routine as
close to normal as possible
- will get individual attention, affection, and exercise
- will have less exposure to potential illness and parasites
- will not suffer from the trauma of travel
- will have less restrictive vaccine requirements than most boarding
or kennel facilities
- can remain on any basic medical treatment if required
You:
- will no longer have to rely on friends, family, and neighbors who
may not have the ability to give your pet the regularity they need
- will gain the peace of mind knowing that your house and pets will
be watched over with a careful eye
- have the knowledge that your pet is in loving, caring, and
compassionate hands
- are given the confidence that the pet sitter can handle any
potential emergencies competently and professionally
